is a theatre artist - actress, director and writer.
Her stage experience spans more than twenty years with acting roles in close to fifty plays, many of them premieres of new Icelandic works. Harpa has directed numerous plays for Reykjavik City Theatre, National Theatre Iceland and independent theatre companies. Often her role as a director has included writing adaptions for the stage. In 2017 she steps forward as a playwright with her first play Bláklukkur fyrir háttinn.
For her art of acting and directing Harpa has received Gríman, the Icelandic Theatre Award and been nominated to Gríman, Eddan Film Award and DV Culture Award.
Nature is very dear to Harpa and when she is not busy with theatre or film in one way or another, she may be found enjoying close contact with Mother Earth.
